MUFG Investor Services has appointed McAllister “Mac” Kirschner as Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership transition at one of the world's major providers of fund administration and alternative investment services.
Kirschner succeeds John Sergides, who has stepped down for health-related reasons. Having served as Chief Operating Officer since 2018, Kirschner brings extensive experience overseeing the company's banking operations, fund administration activities, and institutional client relationships.
He joined MUFG Investor Services in 2016 and previously held senior positions at BlackRock, where he worked in global fund services and alternative investment operations. His background in financial services and operational management has provided him with extensive knowledge of the evolving needs of institutional investors and alternative asset managers.
The appointment comes as MUFG Investor Services continues to strengthen its position in the institutional investment industry. The company administers approximately $1.29 trillion in assets and operates across 16 global locations, supporting investment managers with a broad range of administration and financial services.
Kirschner's appointment also provides leadership continuity as the fund administration industry faces growing demands for operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and increasingly sophisticated investment structures. His familiarity with the company's operations and institutional client base positions him to oversee its next phase of development.
Under Kirschner's leadership, the firm intends to continue expanding its operational capabilities and services for alternative investment managers navigating increasingly complex financial markets. Maintaining strong client relationships, enhancing service delivery, and adapting to the changing requirements of global investment firms will remain important priorities as the company moves forward.
